Thermos has issued a large-scale recall of more than 8 million Stainless King food jars and bottles globally, including in Australia. The recall was prompted by multiple reports of severe eye injuries, including permanent vision loss, caused by defects in the product stoppers. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has also intervened to pull these food jars from the market after being sold for over 13 years.
