Several prominent Spanish companies are implementing workforce restructuring measures involving early retirement (prejubilación) and incentivized voluntary leaves as part of their Economic and Social Restructuring Plans (ERE). Iberia offers packages including 80% of the gross salary for early retirees along with incentives such as extra leave days. Similarly, Ence and its labor unions have agreed on 44 voluntary departures and early retirement options at their Navia plant in Asturias.
